"Your New Twin Sized Bed"

"Your New Twin Sized Bed"

Mom: Aren’t you excited?!

4-year old: I dont wanna.

Mom: You’re getting your big girl bed. This is exciting.

4-year old: I want to be in my bed.

Mom: This is your bed. It’s “your new twin sized bed.”

4-year old: NO! THERE! (points to parent’s bedroom)

Mom: Your old bed is going to your baby brother.

4-year old: no.

Mom: Sweetheart, your brother will be here in a month. You get your own room now. We’re right down the hall.

4-year old: Can I bring Teddy?

Mom: Of course. He can “lay beside you in a space that [he belongs].”

4-year old: okay. Teddy and I will sleep here today.
