Music is Life. Writing is a journey. Together it creates Stories.

Daughter: Why did you teach me to be the way I am?

Mom: What way? I think you turned out pretty alright.

Daughter: Your divorces, your failed relationships. I learned nothing good. “What I would do to take away this fear of being loved.”

Mom: It’s not an “allegiance to the pain.”

Daughter: No?

Mom: Just because I haven’t figured out how to truly love someone, and I mean other than you, doesn’t mean you can’t figure it out. You have good friends who have normal families. You could always learn from them.

Daughter: But “I fucked up” and “I miss [him].”

Mom: Blaming me for whatever you did this semester isn’t going to help you with whatever it is you’re facing.

Daughter: UGH! “I’ll never be like you!”

Mom: Spare me.

Daughter: I’m not being unfair here. “I would give anything to change this fickle-minded heart” of mine. I have no idea what I’m doing.

Mom: Life lesson - No one does.
