Music is Life. Writing is a journey. Together it creates Stories.

"Holy Weather"

"Holy Weather"

Mabel is sitting in a psychiatric ward being watched by two doctors outside her room. She’s in a white and the lights are blaring, sometimes flickering randomly.

Mabel: It’s okay deary. They’ll come back. They’ll bring her back. “You know that.” You always know that “I’ve got you” with me always. You’re “in my blood stream.”

Mabel starts to laugh as if she just heard a joke that you don’t know why, but you can’t help but laugh every time you think about it.

Mabel: “You know” what?

My pretty, what are you trying to say?

“That no matter how loud I scream” they will never hear you.

Mabel lets out a blood curdling scream, the doctors hold their ears, and continue talking to one another, inaudibly.

Mabel: Shhhhhh. Don’t scream so loud. They’ll hear you and you’ll have to go to the bad place for days. (regaining some consciousness, whispering) My god, “I still hear your voice in my head.”

Mabel starts to laugh maniacally, her fit leads her to move and jerk aggressively.

Mabel: (straightening) “You are the fire” that keeps me alive! You think you’re “burning solo,” but I’m here. With you. Always.

No! I am alone. “You are the wind in between” my thoughts telling me things that are false.

Don’t try to go back into “the snow.” Your childhood memories will no longer save us.

Mabel starts convulsing.

Mabel: “I can’t escape you.” (then louder) “I can’t escape you!”
