Music is Life. Writing is a journey. Together it creates Stories.

"Just Exist"

Cheryl and Natalia are hanging out at the campus library. They’re both about to graduate and studying for finals.

Cheryl: Can we please take a break?

Natalia: I have so much work to do. I feel so far behind.

Cheryl: If you’re behind then where the hell does that put me?

Natalia: You don’t care about getting a Four-Oh this semester because you have a 3.8. You’re fine.

Cheryl: Oh boy. You’re freaking out because you’re trying to graduate with a Four-Oh?

Natalia: I. Am. So. Close.

Cheryl: Okay Okay. Let’s just take a little break and then you can stick your head behind a book again.

Natalia: Fine. What do you want to discuss?

Cheryl: Did you have a good weekend?

Natalia: I studied. I did have a weird dream though.

Cheryl: Do you remember it?

Natalia: “You were in my dream last night.”

Cheryl: Was it scandalous? Was I “creeping in again” to take over your life?

Natalia: I fully believe that will happen “when I least expect” it. You can have it.

Cheryl: No offense mate, but I like my life better.

Natalia: What’s really after college? I hear adulting sucks. My young professional mentor was getting all real on me. It sounds terrible.

Cheryl: It has to be fine. Everyone grows up.

Natalia: “Is this what 22 feels like?”

Cheryl: Yes. It feels fun. It’s like so much freedom. Don’t “you feel alive?”

Natalia: What if we’re all “just killing time” and then we die?

Cheryl: I mean I’m pretty sure that’s what happens.

Natalia: How depressing. Should we even be studying this hard if it’s all for nothing?

Cheryl: No. We still have to study because that’s what is our current reality. Should we start again?

They both get back to work.
