"Surface Envy"

Joey Ramone is outside Sam's place with a box of donuts. He rings Sam's doorbell. 

Sam: Come in!

Joey: Got you something.

Sam: Thank you for these.

Joey looks around.

Joey: When was the last time you left?

Sam: "I haven't seen daylight in what must be days."

Joey: Well we have to change that. 

Sam: Don't just stand by the door. Find somewhere to sit. Where have you been for the last few months?

Joey: "I took the long way down" from Canada. Took over 48 hours. Once I made all of the stops. I really "lost track of myself." It was beautiful. 

Sam: Love your "confidence." Would you do it again?

Joey: Absolutely. I "fell down the steepest of slopes," got up and almost did it again..

Sam: And you were totally fine?

Joey: A couple of bumps and bruises.

Sam: Was there anyone to help?

Joey: Only me.

Sam: And if you had broken your leg? Your back? Hit your head?? What then?

Joey: Lucky for me none of that happened. 

Sam: Next time I'm coming with you.

Joey: You hate the outside.

Sam: Still. I'm not letting you go alone. 

Joey: How about this. "If you get me a line, lend me an oar," something to help me out on my next adventure you're invited.

Sam: Really?

Joey: "I'll row you an ocean."

Sam: I'll do anything for you. "I could do more." Just tell me what you need.

Joey: "I feel so much stronger now that you're here."

Sam: Yes! I feel that way too.

Joey: "We've got so much to do" since we are leaving next Friday. 

Sam: Next Friday? That's so fast.

Joey: I don't sit still. You know that about me. "Let me make that clear."

Sam: Well duh. I know that about you, but you literally just got back.

Joey: "We win" and "we lose" but life keeps going whether we want it to or not. 

Sam: You are one of a kind Joey Ramone. Breaking rules and conventions.

Joey: "Only together do we break the rules."

Sam: Deal.
